  2. targeted audience only (CD medium is a powerful marketing tool: product introductions, direct mail, magazine inserts, give-away at exhibitions etc.)
  3. all-in-one distribution of files, installers, programs and data
  4. massive reduction of printing and mailing costs
  5. heavy use of multimedia content and/or large images
  6. cross-document navigation, interactive indices and search engine
  7. use on offline (particularly laptop) computers
  8. controlled interface and precise presentation of information
  9. high resolution printability on a broad variety of output devices
  10. distribution of semi-confidential and/or tamper-proof material
  11. concentrate on the essential - avoid information overkill
  12. the information has a saleable valuel
